PAPER MASK - Decorated Bauta

From simple line the Bauta is a classic Venetian mask. In this version the craftsman has embellished this mask decorandola with gold leaf, silver and copper. From the very lines, allows those who wears to drink and eat without having to remove.

The Bauta is undoubtedly the mask typical of Venice 700. Dall'aspetto very simple, color strictly white or black, was normally worn by Venetians even if there were specific restrictions laid down by law. The peculiarity of this mask typical of Venice that is allowed to drink and eat without having to remove and thanks to his form allowed to alter slightly the voice makes even more difficult the recognition of the person who wore.
